About FoundationCare

About Us

FoundationCare was founded in Orange County, California by Elizabeth Zayas, a marriage and family therapist and the mother of three children. After seeing obsolete technology in her children's classrooms and the inability of schools to protect children online, Zayas decided to create a program for helping schools keep their technology current.

At the same time, Zayas discovered that schools were growing more dependent on fundraising dollars for non-core programs, including technology. She set out to introduce a fundraising program that offered lasting value beyond selling cookie dough or wrapping paper.

A Key Partnership

As Zayas began the formation of FoundationCare, her husband's company, eGuardian, developed a system for protecting children from sexual predators and explicit content on the Internet. She recognized an obvious affiliation between allowing children to safely explore the Internet and helping schools raise money to improve their technology.

Zayas developed a program with eGuardian that would provide 100% of profits from parent enrollment to help fund schools and FoundationCare, as well as provide the technology for free to participating schools.

Today, FoundationCare provides lucrative fundraising opportunities for schools that help them stay current with technology, and offers programs to keep children safe on the Internet.
